Purpose
Remember The Miners and the WV Coal Foundation created the Remember the Miners Scholars Program to support families committed to the West Virginia mining community.
Criteria
- Applicant must be a dependent of a miner, a miner or former miner. We are also accepting applications from those who are interested in pursuing a degree in a mining industry related field.
- Applicant must complete the online or attached application.
- Applicant must attach an essay of 250 words stating the importance of the coal industry and its future in America.
- Scholarships awarded will range from $1,500 to $5,000 twice a year.(Spring & Fall)
